When to Use

  • When your available energy varies from day to day.
  • When you want options that fit your energy, including rest.
  • When you want a smaller alternative or support for an activity that feels too demanding.

How to Use

  1. 1
Sort activities you choose by the effort they take for you.
  2. 2
Mark your energy now. Start with the matching part of the menu, or choose another option.
  3. 3
Choose something that fits, or choose rest.
  4. 4
Add a smaller version and anything that could make the choice easier; leave either blank if you prefer.

An activity can feel easy on one day and demanding on another. This menu groups options by your own sense of effort, including rest; it is not a list you have to complete.

Add activities to the tiny, small, medium and big sections as they fit you. Check your energy, consider one choice or rest, and write a smaller version or something that might make it easier.

Optional and private. This is a list of options, not a to-do list, and nothing on it has to be done. If low energy lasts for weeks or feels worrying, a health professional can help you look at why.
