How schools use these resources

The setup these resources fit most naturally is the calm corner: a laminated set of the calm-down-corner and grounding sheets at a regulation station, plus a Chromebook or tablet bookmarked to the breathing exercise and the bubble popper. A dysregulated student can walk through the steps on the poster or follow the on-screen animation without needing an adult to talk them through it, which is exactly what makes a calm corner work when you are also teaching twenty-four other kids.

Counselors use the sheets differently: the feelings wheel to open a session with a student who "doesn't know" what's wrong, the circle-of-control worksheet in small-group work, and the test-anxiety sheet as a class handout in the weeks before state testing. Teachers project the guided breathing exercise for a whole-class reset after recess or before an exam. Because nothing requires a login, there is no rostering, no parent consent form for an app, and no student data question to run past the district.

The kids' materials are written for elementary and middle school reading levels; the general sheets and interactive tools carry through high school. If you try something in your classroom and it doesn't land, we genuinely want to hear that too.

Common questions

Do students need accounts or logins?

No. Every tool runs directly in the browser with no signup, no app install, and no personal information collected from students. Open the link on a Chromebook, tablet, or whiteboard and it works.

Can I print class sets?

Yes - print as many copies as your classroom, calm corner, or counseling office needs. We only ask that you keep the small source footer on each sheet.

What ages are the materials for?

The kids' sheets (coping skills, grounding, affirmations, calm down corner) are written for elementary and middle school. The general sheets and interactive tools work well for middle and high school students.

Can we link these from our school website or LMS?

Please do - linking from a counseling page, Google Classroom, or parent newsletter is exactly the use we hope for. Everything stays free for students and families.

Is this a substitute for school counseling or therapy?

No. These are self-help and classroom-regulation supports. A student in distress should always be connected with your school counselor or appropriate services.
