When to Use

  • Before a call that feels difficult.
  • When you want a short script nearby.
  • When preparing a pause phrase or a question you do not want to forget.

How to Use

  1. 1
Write the reason and goal for the call.
  2. 2
Write an opening line and a short answer to an expected question.
  3. 3
List up to three key points and the question you do not want to forget.
  4. 4
Choose a pause phrase and closing; copy the shortest version onto the card.

A short script can reduce the need to recall every point during a call. You can pause, ask for repetition, end the call, write instead or invite someone to sit with you; the aim is a useful conversation, not perfect delivery.

Write the reason and desired outcome first, then keep up to three points and the question that matters beside the phone. The separate script card lets you carry only the words you choose.

Optional and private. Writing an email instead is fine, and so is asking someone to sit with you. Any call can be ended.
