Wise Mind is a core Dialectical Behavior Therapy skill. It describes the balanced place where Emotion Mind and Reasonable Mind overlap. Emotion Mind carries feelings, urges, and values; Reasonable Mind carries facts, limits, and practical details. Wise Mind listens to both without letting either one take over.

This worksheet uses a visual Venn diagram and guided writing prompts to help you slow down a decision. You name the emotional pull, identify the facts, and then write a centered choice that reflects your long-term goals and values.

Wise Mind is especially helpful when you feel split between reacting strongly and shutting feelings down. The aim is not to erase emotion or become purely logical. The aim is to respond with steadiness, clarity, and respect for what matters.
