When to Use

  • When you want to prepare a talk for an audience.
  • When you want to choose a few memorable points and examples.
  • When you want a pause or a phrase ready if you lose your place.

How to Use

  1. 1
Write the topic, length and audience, and outline the opening, middle and close.
  2. 2
Add up to three points with examples, a takeaway and a possible question.
  3. 3
Mark any pauses on the arc and choose what might help during them.
  4. 4
Choose or write a phrase and small steps to return to your point if needed.

A talk can be shaped around a few points rather than a perfect script. This optional planner offers space to organize your message and consider pauses, without promising that nerves will disappear.

The arc moves from opening to middle and close, with room for examples, a takeaway and possible questions. Mark optional pauses and choose a phrase or action for a shaky moment or a blank mind.

Optional and private. Nerves are common and often fade once you begin. If speaking leads to panic or avoidance that disrupts your life, a health professional can help. This is not medical advice.
